Arsenal wanted to offer their members a better online experience that brought them closer to the Arsenal brand. So, using 10Duke's platform applications, they chose video, photo upload, twinning, games, forum integration and single sign-on to create an engaging community called YourArsenal. The community can be viewed by all, but only registered members of the existing Arsenal membership package can participate and interact with it. www.arsenal.com/yourarsenal

Masher

Masher's online video editing tool was struggling to cope with demand so they came to 10Duke. We rebuilt Masher on our technology platform in just a few weeks. Because of the 10Duke platform, Masher is now able to handle millions of requests and is much less server intensive, dramatically reducing operating costs. The service allows users to build 'mashes' using video clips from the BBC motion gallery archive and mix it with their own photos, videos and music. They can add transitions, effects and customise it before sharing it with all their friends and sending to their blog or social network profile. www.masher.com

The BBC's Top Gear wanted to run a promotion in conjunction with their sponsor Turtle Wax to promote car cleaning kits. 10Duke built youdirtydirtycar.com which enabled users to upload a picture of their filthy cars via mobile phones or online for a chance to win a prize. The 10Duke platform provided stability and flexibility and the success of the promotion lead to icemycar.com the following year. Mobile upload was used again to enable users to send their picture via MMS message and have an account automatically created for them with their login details sent back via text.

Global Icon

Global Icon was a cross media competition to find the best unsigned band. The winning band went on to receive airtime and lots of other promotional prizes. Online All-stars, the company behind Global Icon, approached 10Duke to build the online competition with social networking functionality that enabled users to sign up as a band or a fan. Bands could upload their tracks and enter them into the competition and fans would vote for the winner though 4 different stages including a boot camp. Fans could also build playlists of their favourite tracks and listen to them, uninterrupted, whilst navigating the site and interact with their friends with private messaging and commenting.

Ciba Vision - Smiling eyes

Ciba Vision launched 'Smiling Eyes' a promotion created by Euro RSCG Life using the 10Duke Social Media Application Platform. Users could upload a photo of themselves and be twinned with a celebrity via mobile or the web. The 10Duke twinning application uses Biometric Pattern Recognition (as used in airports) to match a photo against a database. The system uses points on a face, such as distance between eyes, positioning of the mouth and other facial features to find your perfect look-alike.
