The first update enhances security by preventing trial license abuse. The second update simplifies the process of provisioning and managing licenses for a better user experience.
Enhanced Trial Abuse Prevention
In our recent release 5.3.0, we introduced significant enhancements to prevent trial license abuse. This update includes a new license model constraint and the ability to define a lock scope when provisioning trial licenses.
These features ensure that a customer cannot repeatedly use the same trial license on the same device, protecting your software from unauthorized usage. The new ConsumptionLockConstraint ties a trial license to the hardware ID of the device on which it is first consumed, adding an extra layer of security and control.
Streamlined License Provisioning and Management
With the release of version 5.5.0, we have further streamlined our license provisioning and management processes. The 10Duke Entitlement Management REST API now supports direct provisioning of licenses to specified entitlements, offering greater flexibility and efficiency.
Additionally, the 10Duke SysAdmin now supports transactions in provisioning and maintaining licenses, ensuring consistency with the Entitlement Management REST API. For those who prefer the legacy UI, it remains available through a configuration option. These enhancements are designed to optimize your licensing workflows and provide a seamless user experience.
