An end-user is a human user who actually uses a software application. The end-user is often (but not always) also the one who installs and uninstalls a software or application.
In the world of Information Technology, “end-user” doesn’t necessarily mean the same as “customer”. A large company might purchase a package of 1,000 licenses to a software product from a software vendor, making the large company the customer, while end-users are the employees who then only use the software product.
